Kwon: Parkview tech dept. has been very supportive of helping me with my music.       2. We had a replacement in heed early on, but ran into a snag when we figured out that we had been getting education pricing from nuvotera and but paying for the instructor accounts. The new companies  were not willing to do that (an increase of $20k/yr).
      3. So nosotros had to move to another service later that originally expected. The good news is we have found a reliable service that volition not break the upkeep. Notwithstanding, nosotros are having to brand this transition at the aforementioned time as the electronic mail migration
      4. as a effect some emails are being 'quarantined' that shouldn't exist . For example it was discovered that renweb was being blocked despite a setting that should have allowed them through. • Bandwidth: (net speeds)

    • I'chiliad excited to say that we've been able to upgrade the bandwidth on campus. We started the semester around 80Mbps and we are now able to hitting closer to 180Mbps. So, the next stride is to upgrade this choke point. Unfortunately, this upgrade is a niggling expensive and we're looking to defer this cost with grants and other programs.

  • We are aware of this warning. Our email filtering program is ceasing operation. We are in the process of checking out replacements for information technology and should be fine by the fourth dimension it turns off in January.       Since we've doubled our one-to-one programme nosotros are running closer to capacity on our internet speed.     • Working to Resolve:
      We are working on several steps to convalesce this trouble. Through better settings on our filter and installing a cache server for ipad apps we are taking steps at present to get these problems cleared up. Long-term we are also looking at increasing our total bandwidth available to the campus. For some reason, activInspire may not have installed when we setup your laptops. Many of you have figured out how to install information technology from the software centre. New iPads: (EC)

Nosotros've been able to apply grant money to get more ipads for you to share in the Early Childhood. These take been ordered and configured. As soon as we get the cases in they will be delivered to you. Should be soon.

 The Star Testing app is no longer available in the app shop. The company that makes the app, Renaissance Learning, removed it from the app store because they want us to use their website now. I've pushed a link to the ipads home screen that should piece of work to get you and students in.

Clever: (MS,HS)

Clever portal is a way we are working on to reduce the number of logins that students and teachers accept to practise. In add-on clever syncs with renweb to automatically keep classes upwardly to date. As a educatee adds or drops a form in renweb they will exist automatically added or dropped in clever compatible apps. We are aware that some of y'all can't connect your new shiny X2 Elite with your projector. It has taken some fourth dimension, sleuthing, and education on our part, but we are confident that we have finally found the problem. The short version is that we will take to beginning replacing projector cables. I've ordered them and they are on the way. We'll get to y'all asap.

The long version: Older computers ever transport a signal. However, modern graphics cards don't turn on the output until they sense a projector. In this manner they can utilise more than processing ability to make higher resolution images faster. Withal, our older cables weren't getting the signal to the computer to permit them know they were there then the computer was never turning on the output. This was very difficult to solve because although it seemed we had identical setups in 2 rooms, ane was working while the other would not. We finally figured out that one cable was older than the other.

Gradecam (HS)

I've been playing around with gradecam for some time now. I love it! We are now moving to piloting it in the high school. What is it?  Well quit buying scantrons!  Now yous can print your own scantrons and grade them with the camera on your reckoner or by scanning them in. Even better this programme volition let you run across statistics on the students answers. Now you can know how many students missed each question and what they put. The program will put the grade past the students proper name!  And, because of our piece of work with clever, your account is gear up to login using your school credentials and your classes are already there with your students enrolled.
